Climate changes urge people to migrate.

BONN (Reuters) – A report published on Wednesday said millions of people leave their homes due to the coming disasters of rising seas and drought so require a new plan for mass migration. The U.N. University CARE International and Columbia University published a report that funds needed to help the migrants that flee natural catastrophe will get worse threaten to political stability. The study said, "Environmentally induced migration and displacement has the potential to become an unprecedented phenomenon -- both in terms of scale and scope." Further detailed mentioned in report “In coming decades, climate change will motivate or force millions of people to leave their homes in search of viable livelihoods and safety."

The accurate numbers of migrants not identified but the International Organization for Migrants estimated 200 of million environmentally encourage migrants by 2050. The study marked the high exposed regions of the world like islands states Tuvalu and the Maldives and dry regions as Sahel and in Mexico, and delta regions in Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Egypt. It said, "In the densely populated Ganges, Mekong, and Nile River deltas, a sea level rise of 1 meter could affect 23.5 million people and reduce the land currently under intensive agriculture by at least 1.5 million hectares.”

The sea levels rises at least a meter this century said the climate scientists. The world invests to help the poor communities and countries more flexible to climate change. The report described, “These funds must be new and additional to existing commitments, such as those for Official Development Assistance.” Further added “In Search of Shelter: Mapping the Effects of Climate Change on Human Migration and Displacement”

If the investment in irrigation it will make farmers less dependent on rains. In addition, investment on education will give awareness and they prepare their soil better for crops. By mulching the soil, it preserves more moisture. The report said the migrants need new rights from climate disasters. "Those displaced by the chronic impacts of climate change will require permanent resettlement. At present, people who move due to gradually worsening living conditions may be categorized as voluntary economic migrants and denied recognition of their special protection needs."

U.N. discussed to expand the Kyoto Protocol after 2012 as per UN talks held in Bonn and The struggle with rich-poor discrimination on sharing the preparation of cost and curbing climate change.
